Welcome to my little corner of the blogosphere. I'm Igor, the writer and recipe developer behind this blog "Moderna kuhinja - na  moj način". By profession I'm a chef, who is in love and have a great passion for making any kind of sweets, cakes, desserts globally.
I started sharing recipes on my blog for fun, but it has quickly grown to be a serious commitment with many followers and readers, and the reason that I have something like my personal cook book with all tested recipes.
I want to show everyone how with the little money u can cook delicious and interesting meals.To say that I am passionate about food is a bit of an understatement. I am constantly thinking about my next meal, I read cookbooks, watch all possible and impossible culinary shows (lol) educating,inspiring and upgrading myself through that. When i'm out of the cuisine i'm thinking every day what to publish on this blog, i grow my own food in my little garden place like vegetables, fruits, fresh herbs...
This further relaxes me and makes me happy.


 My food ( salty and sweet) are made traditionaly, the food on which I grew up, mostly made with a twist.When it comes to cooking traditional food really well, only a few people are masters of the art.
Foods with a twist are intriguing. They add pizzazz as well as sophistication onto your table. But what could be the perfect food with a twist? Food that is pleasing in aesthetics, lovely to smell and great to taste. The textures and flavours should be well blended and there should not be anything bizarre in a bad way about it….
Traditionally speaking every dish is prepared in a certain manner and most people probably would like to have it that way. But then at times both the person who cooks and those that have to eat what is put before them would like to have something different – just to break the monotony. It is always exciting to give a new avatar to the traditional food, a twist to the classic. It not only adds an element of surprise, an element of interest but it also helps to increase the repertoire of recipes. They allow the cook to think out of the box. I'm extremely proud of my participation in the culinary shows : "Kuharica" (2006) and "Tri,dva,jedan PECI" (2014. and 2016.) which brought me a wonderful experience. 😊  Other recipes from this blog also can be seen in the written version of Slavonia's voice ("glas Slavonije") magazine as well.


 Here are three reasons I think you’ll love my blog, whether you’re a seasoned chef or just starting out:

  1.  Step-by-step instructions with photos. When I first started cooking, I was unsure about so many things: How big should I dice the carrots and onions? How thick should I cut the vegetables? What should this look like halfway through the recipe when it looks NOTHING like the final photo? When I created this blog, my goal was to take away some of that uncertainty by including tons of photos to bring each step of the recipe to life.
  2.  Helpful tips and techniques. I love learning any skill that helps me get the job done faster, easier or with a better result. 
Last but not least.  
     3.  Great recipes. It’s a food blog, so naturally you’re going to find recipes here. But I only share the recipes I really, truly love. You won’t find anything here that I’ve never made before or would never make again. Every recipe I post has my stamp of approval—if I wouldn’t eat it or serve it, you won’t find it here.
